Although it is not considered the starting point of the 386 km Trent-Severn Waterway (Lock 1 is in Trenton) Bobcaygeon’s Lock 32 is a special place in the Kawarthas. It is the first lock to be built in the system, over 160 years ago as cited by Parks Canada.
